Solum Check Free back-test

For architects and site planners

Catch code mismatches before the city does.

Fewer correction rounds. Solum Check compares your drawing set to the requirements that apply and shows where they don't match. Each finding points to the sheet and the code text, so you can verify it yourself.

Send us a past packet and the city's comments. Within a few business days, we show you what we would have caught.

Early access, starting in Provo and Orem.

The problem

Every correction comes back to you.

A submittal goes in, review comments come back, and you revise and resubmit. The rework lands on the architect or engineer, and many of the comments point to requirements that were in the code the whole time. Each round costs days and fee hours.

A city checklist alone doesn't catch them. Checking a full set against every requirement by hand is slow, and it competes with everything else due that week. The goal is simple: fewer comments to answer on each round.

How it works

See what we would have caught, on your own project.

The free back-test uses a packet you already submitted. Nothing new for you to prepare.

Send a past packet

Send the drawing PDFs and the city's review comments you received. Tell us the city and the code edition.

We run the check

Solum Check reads the sheets and compares them to the requirements that applied, then lines the results up against the comments you actually got.

You see the difference

Within a few business days you get the findings we would have flagged. Each one shows the sheet location and the code text, so you can verify it yourself.

What it checks

The requirements behind the comments, by review stage.

We organize checks by the stage where the city reviews them. Some portals only confirm that files were uploaded, and a city checklist doesn't cover what a reviewer reads in the drawings.

  • Zoning
  • Overlays
  • Setbacks
  • Heights
  • Parking
  • Landscaping

Starting in Provo and Orem. Every city and every reviewer is different, so we are learning these two first instead of claiming every city.

Civil checks are next. If you do grading, storm drainage, utilities or fire access, tell us which comments cost you the most rounds.

What it is

A second set of eyes that shows its work.

  • Findings are tied to a specific sheet location and a specific code section.
  • Where the drawings or the applicable code are unclear, it says so. It does not guess.
  • You review each finding and make the decision.
  • Built for the way you submit: PDF sets, architectural and site drawings.

A second set of eyes, not a stamp.
